Peter Rocchia founded The Wicker Works in 1972, and his visionary designs served a role in elevating wicker furnishings to a symbol of high-end elegance for the home. Inspired by a Roman frieze he encountered in Florence, which depicted a Roman seated in a wicker “bath chair,” Rocchia’s designs celebrate the timeless beauty and functionality of woven wicker.
At the heart of our legacy lies the Classic Collection— defined by its signature braided edge, which is masterfully hand-woven into the very structure of each piece. Our unique braiding process is so complex that it was patented, remaining exclusive to The Wicker Works for over two decades. Our furnishings stand as an enduring testament to our dedication to both quality and artistry.
